The second CAT3 race of the Rosewood Winter Series had a large field of riders, much like the first one. As we mentioned before, the CAT3 racing is in a field of it’s own. This is a welcomed change for 2018, and one that keeps the racing safe and a lot more exciting.

After winning the first race of the series, Alfredo Diaz now holds the Leader’s jersey.
Local racer Cesar Sosa lining up at the start. Cesar also records a lot of the races and local group rides via GoPro on his bike, along with it comes his commentary which can get very colorful at times.
It’s always awesome to see Juniors lining up for some racing. The next generation of riders are looking strong.
Melbourne-based team Apex made their way down with a strong CAT3 team.
Much like the P12 race, the racing was full gas from the start.
Attacks on the bunch started early.
Which turned to a lot of chasing, Locksley of One Love Racing doing work in the bunch, keeping the intensity high.
The Apex guys were looking strong the whole race.
Ronel Manresa racing on a borrowed bike, whatever it takes.
Jeff Vivo of the Vivo Cycling Team goes on the attack late in the race.
With the group together again, and with two laps to go. Max Kolisch, racing on his own, goes on the attack.
The bunch eventualy caught Max on the last lap and it all came down to a final sprint.
Team Cornerstone ended up with a 1-2 finish, leaving Alfredo Diaz with the leader’s jersey going into the third race of the series.
There was some commotion on the last lap and some riders went down, we’d like to wish Jose “Joyto” Hernandez of Amino Rip a speed recovery.
