The third Pro 1/2 race of the Rosewood Winter Series was a crucial one between the 1st and 2nd place points leaders. Gunter Hermanni of Amino Rip was two points ahead of Alexis Cespedes of Team SilCarbon for the overall lead. Knowing this, team SilCarbon decided to come out with a strong squad in order to put Alexis in the best spot to win the race and take the points lead.

All the racers looked focused and ready to bring on the race.

As in most P1/2 races. The bunch stayed together for first parts of the 45 minute race

But Gunther Hermanni went on the attack, with Mikey Ferreiro of Team SilCarbon marking him.
After chasing for a few laps, the break grew to five.
National Champion Alex Zambrana and Jose Armas of D-Professional were chasing the breakaway as well.
They eventually did and the whole group came together heading into the final laps.
With two laps to go, Jose Armas went on a very risky solo attack.
The attack paid off as it caught the bunch by surprise and by the time the chase started it was just too late and Jose Armas took the win. Not only did he win the P1/2 he also won his age-specific 40+ race earlier in the day.
