Team Katusha-Alpecin has a released their new kit for the 2017 season. Not only has the team landed a new title sponsor with Alpecin, which happens to be a caffeine infused shampoo. They’ve also landed 10 new riders along with new General Manager, Jose Azevedo.
The most notable of those riders is current ITT World Champion Tony Martin. He brings the ITT rainbow jersey to the team along with his superb pace making skills to start those lead out trains for Alexander Kristoff, the team’s sprinter, on the last Ks of races.
Another notable is current U23 ITT world champ, Marco Mathis.
Canyon will continue to supply the frames, along with Zipp wheels and Sram componets. The kit’s colors and design haven’t changed much from last year, the distinctive dark red remains on the bib and upper section of the jersey. A brighter red is introduced with the Alpecin logo and the lower half of the jersey. The frames remain red, but on the left is the ITT frame with UCI Rainbow livery that will be ridden by Tony Martin for 2017.
